Codona Christian School was founded in 1967 in Crestline, CA. by the
Codona family, Grandpa, and Grandma, (Ed and Irene), (Edward Jr. and Diane, 3
kids), (Lalo and Lois, 4 kids) to help their 7 grand children through their
school years due to the fact that they observed Tuesday as their Sabbath, plus
any additional possible problems that may come up, like Dress Code, etc.
This school started out by the Codona's hiring retired Christian School
teachers. After they were mostly grown, Lalo became the teacher and soon took on the
local Rim of the World Unified School Districts Continuation School. This brought about an increase in enrollment of over 500 students in the
next 5 years. Additionally, several R.O.P. classes were offered: Automotive, Heavy Equipment, Food Services, and Adult Ed. In 1986 through '91 the Codona Family, and the Linker Family moved north
to Cedarville, CA. Since that time the school has been used as
a Family Church, and Bible Jubilee teaching center. From '86 until today,
Lalo A. Codona, and Loy B. Linker (married), along with additional family help,
continue to offer both Bible training, and teaching skills. This school is
also known as "Bethel Shofar". These two families are also actively
engaged in farming (crops), and ranching (cattle), for the purpose of learning
what God says about tithing, and the 7th year regulations, (Lev. 25). In general, we attempt to put into practice God's Laws, and Commandments
to everything that we do. This, we do, and offer in Jesus Name.
